On the eve of the very imminent release of Crysis Remastered on the main target platforms, Crytek has published a new trailer for an updated version of the cult shooter of the 2007 model.

The almost two-minute video is devoted to the main technical features of Crysis Remastered and the comparison of improved graphical elements with those in the original game.

In particular, the re-release of Crysis will offer ray tracing, global illumination, real-time reflections, refraction of rays through the water column, improved particle and explosion effects, as well as support for 8K resolution.

PC exclusive mode "Will it pull Crysis?" with ultra-high graphics settings that will test the strength of "even the most powerful hardware."

According to official system requirements Crysis Remastered will require at least 1080GB of VRAM to run at 4p, and double that for 4K.

However, support for ray tracing will not receive all versions of the game: The technology will only be available on PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. Owners of the base models of these consoles will thus be out of work.

Crysis Remastered will go on sale September 18 this year for PC (Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch edition came out back in July and boasted worthyBut not so advanced graphics.
