The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is considered one of the most beautiful games of the current generation due to its artistic execution. Although only released on Wii U and Nintendo Switch, it can also be played on PC using the Wii U emulator, CEMU. Ever since the game was released to PC users, enthusiasts have been using shaders and various effects to further enhance the beauty of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In this example, the emulator uses Pascal Gilcher's RayTraced Global Illumination shaders for ReShade. To run the game in 4K resolution and normal performance with ray tracing enabled, a powerful PC was required:

  • motherboard: ASUS Prime x470-Pro;
  • Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X 4,2GHz;
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB;
  • video card: MSI Armor GTX1080Ti 11 GB (or better - ASUS RTX 2080Ti);
  • SSD: Crucial mx500 2TB.

Meanwhile Nintendo works over the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch. A release date for the game has not yet been announced.
