After Nioh 2 at E3 2018 there was no news about the game. Now a video has been released on the official YouTube channel on the occasion of the imminent start of alpha testing. It announced the date of access to the early version and showed the first frames of the gameplay.
In the video you can see battles with a huge snake, a multi-armed creature, a samurai and a boss that looks like a monkey. The style is reminiscent of the first one , but the speed of battles has increased. Almost all of the opponents shown in the trailer quickly strike and perform combos. It looks like Nioh 2 is closer in spirit to , a recent creation from FromSoftware.
The developers from Team Ninja clearly focus on the uniqueness of each enemy. The trailer shows a monster that can turn into a tornado, a snake that envelops the main character in its body, and another enemy that launches spinning chakrams or performs a quick series of arcing attacks.
Alpha testing will begin tomorrow, May 24, and end on June 2. A release date for Nioh 2 has not yet been announced.
