Studio Creative Assembly has presented a fresh trailer for its upcoming historical strategy Total War Saga: Troy. By and large, the video is a cut of the gameplay on the theme of options for the siege of Troy.

The game will offer at least three options for the capture of the city by the Greeks. The first is the most realistic, using heavy siege towers to deliver assault troops to the huge walls of Troy, followed by battles inside the fortress. The second is classic: relying on military cunning, the Greeks give the enemy a ship with a horse's head at the stern and a detachment of saboteurs inside - the latter will have to open the gates of the fortress for the main forces of the besiegers under the cover of night with the help of partisan tactics.

Finally, the third method involves the collapse of Poseidon's fury in the form of a strong earthquake on the impregnable walls of the city: even the most perfect defense will not withstand the forces of nature. In this case, the defenders will have to rely only on their courage and military prowess.

Total War Saga: Troy is based on Homer's Iliad. The description reads: “An age of legends and great heroes… It only takes one spark to start a war that will shake the whole world. Daring Paris, the Trojan prince, kidnaps Helen the Beautiful from Sparta. Following his ship, the curses of Elena's husband, King Menelaus, fly. He vows to return the fugitive, no matter what the cost! King Agamemnon, the ruler of the “beautifully arranged” Mycenae, responds to the call of his brother. The gameplay reflects the realistic features of the Bronze Age, and turn-based control of a massive empire is combined with spectacular real-time battles. The game will allow you to look at the war from both sides - the Greek and the Trojan. You can enter the battle as one of the eight famous heroes, and use strategy, diplomacy and power decisions to build your empire.
