Studio for the first time presented Twin Mirror gameplay back in 2018. Bandai Namco Entertainment was expected to release the first of three episodes in early 2019 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. However, the game was shelved and reworked.

Twin Mirror, originally conceived as a series game in the vein of Life is Strange, will now immediately offer a complete story. The latest trailer, shown at the PC Gaming Show, shows off the updated game and its protagonist, inquisitive journalist Sam Higgs.

The release will take place this year, but the exact date has not yet been announced. On PC, the game will be an Epic Game Store exclusive for a year.

According to information from two years ago, the action takes place in the small American town of Baswood in the depressive region of the Rust Belt. The insecure protagonist goes to the funeral of his best friend. He is accompanied everywhere by an alter ego - constantly clever, but helping to survive Double. It is on the duality of the main character that the gameplay is built.

With the help of deductive powers, Sam visualizes memories, penetrates the secrets of Baswood and finds out how he ended up in a motel and why someone else's blood is on his shirt. The player can collect clues that help with an imaginary reconstruction of what happened. In the course of the story, Sam Higgs must figure out who, in the intertwining of secrets and intrigues, he can trust, and whether he can even trust himself.
