Video: Ubisoft talked a little about the creation of the Rainbow Six Quarantine co-op

Leaks, sounded on the eve of the Ubisoft press conference, turned out to be reliable - the French company really presented shooter Rainbow Six Quarantine. Following the cinematic teaser and a little bit of information, the developers shared a Behind the Scenes video in which Bio Jade, Quarantine's chief game designer, spoke about the creation of the project.

Rainbow Six Quarantine is a tactical co-op shooter for a team of three players. The entire campaign from start to finish can be played in co-op mode with friends. The project is being created by a new group assembled inside the Ubisoft Montreal studio - they want to expand the team aspect of the Rainbow Six series, strengthen the PvE component and create a fresh gaming environment.

Interestingly, the new project is a kind of offshoot Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, so that the firing system, various tactics, technical devices and destruction model will seem familiar to the players. But still, Rainbow Six Quarantine is a standalone game that does not require prior acquaintance with Siege.

There will be other references as well. For example, in the teaser, attentive fans of the series looked at two well-known Siege operatives: Elzbieta Bosak with the call sign Ela from Poland and Chol Ken Hwa with the call sign Vigil from South Korea. In the face of a new threat and story campaign, many famous characters will be revealed from unusual sides. Unfortunately, almost nothing is reported about the features of the enemies and the gameplay.

Rainbow Six Quarantine is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2020.
