Publisher DotEmu, together with the developers from Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube, has released a new gameplay teaser for Streets of Rage 4. The game remains true to the canons of beat 'em up, but brings some modern trends to the proven formula. The latter include a greatly changed musical theme.
The video demonstrates in detail the fights that form the basis of the gameplay of Streets of Rage 4. The main characters travel through various locations: gloomy urban areas, wastelands, sewers, shopping districts, and more. The characters complement each other - for example, if one throws an enemy into the air, then the second will be able to carry out an additional combo on him.
The first Streets of Rage, which was recently ported to mobile devices, was released in 1991, and the last to date, the third, was released in 1994.
The exact release date of Streets of Rage 4 and target platforms have not yet been announced.
