Before the launch of the post-apocalyptic zombie action Days Gone (in Russian localization - "Life after"), which will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4, there are only a few days left. To maintain interest in the project, Sony Interactive Entertainment and its developer studio Bend presented a trailer with a story about what dangers await players in the new project.

Studio creative director John Garvin said, β€œOne thing to remember when visiting the Fairwell wastelands in Days Gone is that everything is going to try to kill you. Days Gone is the world that will come for you. This is a world that is dangerous wherever the hero directs his feet. We put Days Gone in that world because we didn't see a lot of our ideas in video games, and that allowed us to create the environment we really wanted."

The danger comes not only from freaks, but also from looters who seek to throw Deacon St. John off his motorcycle, and from weather conditions that make it impossible to navigate dirt roads. And with the onset of darkness, the world changes: there are even more freaks. So in the game they call people turned into zombies by a virus. They are alive and mutated.

One of the key storylines in Days Gone is that freaks keep mutating as you progress. There are several types of freaks in the game - each brings its own problems. Thugs are strong and extremely dangerous, banshees can set a crowd of ordinary freaks on the player, and jackals attack when the hero is badly injured or invaded their territory.

Also in the game you will have to deal with infected animals, freak-worshiping cultists who imitate zombies. All this will have to be borne in mind while traveling through an extremely dangerous post-apocalyptic world. β€œGames like Days Gone are about the right amount of different parts: open world, riding a motorcycle, enemies, people, freaks, animals, and tons of ways to deal with all these threats,” the developers note.

The global epidemic has severely battered humanity, and zombies continue to exterminate the survivors in the vast northwest coast of post-apocalyptic America. Days Gone is set to launch on April 26th. PlayStation Store open for pre-order: basic variant will cost 4499 rubles.
