Video: Vampyr and Call of Cthulhu will be released on Switch in October

There were a lot of announcements during the last Nintendo Direct broadcast. In particular, the Focus Home Interactive publishing house has announced the release dates for two of its projects on the Nintendo Switch: a horror movie will be launched on October 8 Call of Cthulhu and October 29 - role-playing action movie Vampyr. On this occasion, fresh trailers of these games were presented.

Vampyr, the first joint project between Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod Entertainment, was released in June 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and sold over one million copies worldwide by April of this year. The Nintendo Switch version was announced last October and now, a year later, it will finally make it to the hybrid platform. Now Focus Home Interactive and Dontnod Entertainment studio working on a new project that promises to be one of the most ambitious in the history of the publisher and this French team.

Vampyr is set in London in 1918. Dr. Jonathan Reed wants to find a cure for a terrible epidemic that has broken out in the city. However, the hero is turned into a vampire, forced to feed on the blood of people, which completely contradicts his humanistic nature. Jonathan will have to immerse himself in the supernatural world and meet other creatures, as well as use his acquired skills to interfere in the affairs of people and help them to his own detriment, or use them for his own good. The player's decisions will affect the state of the world and the ending of the story. Average rating for Vampyr on Metacritic is 70 points out of 100 based on 67 reviews (users rated the game almost the same - 7,1 points out of 10).

Call of Cthulhu from Cyanide went on sale in October 2018 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The action takes place in 1924. Private detective Edward Pierce investigates the death of the Hawkins family on the secluded island of Darkwater, near Boston. Soon the hero is drawn into the monstrous world of conspiracies, cultists and horrors.
