Bethesda Softworks, Avalanche and id Software released a new trailer for the open-world shooter ahead of QuakeCon.
For example, the "New Game +" mode will allow you to go through the campaign again, but already having all the acquired abilities, weapons and vehicles in your arsenal - with each new passage, the player will receive prestige badges. And the Iron Man mode will test the strength of those who find the game too easy. Here, with the death of the character, the story ends, although the defibrillator can still be used as a last resort. Finally, there's the Ultra Nightmare difficulty mode, which takes the insanity to a whole new level.
The developers have also provided new cheat codes. For example, when using "Rag Doll Dash", the player will lose control of the body of his character, which will turn into a real rag doll and fly towards crazy enemies. And Super Knockback allows you to send the enemy directly into space with a melee attack.
Other notable changes include:
- the game no longer pauses due to pop-up messages;
- in the controller settings, a slider for the dead zone of the camera has been added;
- a flashlight has been added to explore dark places - to turn it on, hold down the "Concentration" button;
- it is now possible to skip Aunt Prowley's dialogue in the introductory quest;
- added the ability to disable training in Arks;
- project trackers show progress in the interface;
- added options to turn off notifications about damage and kills on the scope;
- now players will have access to the commentators "And you call this a wingstick?" and Telefrenzy right after linking their Bethesda.net account. Previously, this required buying voiceovers from the Mage of the Wasteland.
A lot of bugs have also been fixed. Rage 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
