Update 0.6 for the multiplayer shooter World War 3, scheduled for release in April, has been somewhat delayed. But the independent Polish studio The Farm 51 wasted no time and is preparing to launch Warzone Giga Patch 0.6, which continues to be tested on PTE (Public Test Environment) early access servers.

This update will offer two new open maps for the Warzone mode, Smolensk and Polar, SA-80 and M4 WMS weapons, combat drone vehicles, AJAX and MRAP infantry fighting vehicles, British armed forces uniforms and two winter camouflages. New features include VoIP voice communication, a mobile MRAP spawn point, a redesign of the detection system, improvements to team interaction, changes in the balance of the Warzone mode. The location for the map "Smolensk" was chosen by the creators for the reason that the Smolensk region is well known in history - it has witnessed several serious military conflicts of the past centuries. This open terrain map offers players a new type of gameplay that allows players to take a different look at vehicles, feel the importance of choosing the right strike and use it, make them wary of enemy soldiers flashing behind the trees, raise their heads and seek cover from annoying quadcopters, combat drones and snipers.

Thanks to two additional weeks, the developers have identified a number of problems. For example, a mobile spawn point (MTS) could appear before a match without a corresponding call and with the ability to respawn in it. There were other mistakes as well. Based on the results of the tests, changes were made to the gameplay related to the balance of weapons and their weight; added the option to destroy the optics of the Leviathan's gun systems and combat robot; and the included repair tool now repairs base armor instead of additional armor.

Some changes have been made to markers to make them more visible on the map. There is also a quick jump to the game settings, which speeds up the process of switching between the preset modes "Best performance", "Balanced" and "Best quality".

During the tests, the developers eliminated problematic areas on the maps and put in order some props so that decorations in the form of obstacles, boxes, and the like had less impact on the gameplay, and the trees in the Polar arena did not catch extra bullets. Lots of bugs fixed and optimizations done.

Also, The Farm 51 studio apologized for the failure on May 8, when due to problems with the server provider, the game was unavailable for 20 hours - the team assures that this should not be repeated in the future. Now the next update 0.6.8 is being tested on the PTR, but work is already underway on the update 0.7 branch, where the main attention will be paid to fixing bugs and improving performance.
