The Moscow studio Enplex Games in the previous video talked about the development trees of technologies and skills of characters in the upcoming Population Zero. A new video diary from the developers of the massively multiplayer action role-playing game tells about the Central Hub.
The creative producer of the game, Denis Pozdnyakov, notes: βThe hub is a piece of a spaceship that fell on Kepler and which the colonists managed to settle in. There is a small mystery connected with this, which the player will encounter in the very first minutes of arriving at the hub and which he will have the opportunity, with some effort, to unravel.
Game designer Yulia Melnikova added that we are talking about the largest remaining fragment of the fallen ship "Artemis", in which the source of energy was preserved - this allowed people to build their settlement around and establish some kind of way of life so that they could survive. βThe player comes to the hub to understand what is happening to him, what he will do on this planet,β she added.
This is the most important location on Kepler: here you can meet other players and NPCs, receive tasks from the inhabitants of the hub, use public workbenches to craft items, store resources, and also invest them in the development of the colonists' home. The hub will gradually develop depending on the resources coming into it: new inhabitants, workbenches, special zones for various activities will appear.
NPCs differ from each other in their capabilities and belonging to specific social groups: some are responsible for hunting, others for crafting items, and others for storage. Through them, the player receives tasks and interacts with various elements of the hub, and can also develop the latter. Of course, from conversations with these characters, the player will learn more about the planet. The writers tried to make all NPCs unique and memorable for the player, so that it would be interesting to talk to them, take tasks and interact with them.
In PvP modes, the Central Hub will be the only safe place on Kepler. While inside, players will not be able to damage each other - the hunger and thirst parameters are also disabled in this location. Population Zero
