Navi-based Radeon graphics cards spotted in multiple benchmarks

There is less and less time left before the release of AMD video cards on the Navi GPU, and various rumors and leaks about this begin to appear on the Web. This time, a well-known leaker with the pseudonym Tum Apisak found references to engineering samples of Navi-based video cards in the database of several popular benchmarks.

One of the samples of Radeon Navi is a graphics accelerator coded "731F:C1". The 3DMark benchmark determined that the GPU clock speed of this accelerator was only 1 GHz. It was also noted that the video card has 8 GB of memory with a clock frequency of 1250 MHz. If we assume that this is GDDR6 memory, then its effective frequency is 10 MHz, and the memory bandwidth with a 000-bit bus will be 256 GB / s. Unfortunately, the test results are not specified.

Another sample with the ID "7310:00" was found in the Ashes of the Singularity (AotS) benchmark database, as well as in the GFXBench database. In the latter case, in the Aztec Ruins (High Tier) test, the accelerator showed a result of only 1520 frames or 23,6 FPS, which clearly cannot be considered a reliable performance indicator. In turn, the result of the accelerator in the Manhattan test was 3404 frames, which is equal to 54,9 FPS.

In general, the demonstrated level of performance can not be called impressive. But, firstly, these are just prototypes with low frequencies and unoptimized drivers. And secondly, we don't even know what kind of video card this is, that is, what class it will belong to and how much it will cost. For an entry-level or mid-range graphics card, this performance can be considered quite good. For example, in the Manhattan test, a slightly higher result is provided by the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.
