What has been rumored for years has happened - Apple has introduced its own video streaming service, Apple TV+, which will be available to users of the updated Apple TV app and will allow subscribers to watch exclusive films, series and documentaries from various famous authors. It will launch this fall and will complement the other two concurrent subscription services Apple News+ and Apple Arcade.
Apple TV+ will allow you to watch new creations of such film and television celebrities as Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Octavia Spencer (Octavia Spencer), Jeffrey Abrams, Jason Momoa, Night Shyamalan, Jon Chu and many others. A variety of TV shows, movies and series will be available to subscribers at any time, and without advertising.
Apple TV+ will be available on iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, and Macs. Family Sharing lets family members share the same Apple TV+ subscription and Apple TV channels. Apple also announced that an updated version of the Apple TV app will be released in May 2019 with the ability to subscribe to channels of interest. The new version of the app will provide easy access to movies, TV shows, and more on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, supported TVs, and streaming boxes. The Apple TV app will be available on Samsung smart TVs in the spring, and in the future on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony, and VIZIO platforms.
By subscribing in the application, you can watch Apple TV channels, choosing and paying only for those that are of interest to the user. The list includes popular networks such as HBO, Starz, SHOWTIME, CBS All Access, Smithsonian Channel, EPIX, Tastemade, Noggin, as well as new services such as MTV Hits. In the future, the number of available channels will increase. All content, as the company promises, will be available in high quality image and sound with the ability to view both online and offline. The new personalized version of the Apple TV app will let you watch cable and satellite channels, and buy and rent hundreds of thousands of movies and TV shows currently available to purchase or rent from the iTunes Store.
In addition, the new version of the Apple TV app gradually determines the user's tastes by analyzing what content from different applications and services they prefer. Collected in a confidential manner, this data will be used to recommend movies and TV shows from over 150 streaming apps like Amazon Prime and Hulu, as well as content from pay-TV channels like Canal+, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV NOW and PlayStation Vue. Altice's Optimum and Suddenlink will be added later this year.
