The intention of Visa and Mastercard to oblige Russian banks to switch to issuing exclusively contactless cards was previously reported. In particular, the RBC resource wrote, citing its sources, that the Visa payment system plans to introduce new rules this month, from April 13, and its competitor, the Mastercard payment system, obliged Russian banks to make the transition to contactless payments using cards in a couple of years. , from April 12, 2021.
