As blogger Digital Chat Station found out, vivo is working on creating its own chipsets. The blogger posted on the Weibo social network images of the trademark application for the vivo Chip and vivo SoC chipsets filed back in September 2019.

Nevertheless, the company's decision to develop this direction seems quite logical. After the United States imposed restrictions on the supply of components for Huawei, Chinese manufacturers began to invest more in developing their own technologies in order to reduce dependence on foreign suppliers.

Vivo smartphones currently use Qualcomm, MediaTek and Samsung chips. Apparently, in the future, the company will add chips of its own production to them. It can also be assumed that the chipsets developed by vivo are not intended for use in smartphones, but for other smart devices that are planned to be released in the near future.
