Crucial P2 M.2 SSDs reach 2TB capacity

Micron Technology's Crucial brand has unveiled the new P2 family of Solid State Drives (SSDs) suitable for desktop and laptop applications.

Products are made in M.2 2280 format based on QLC NAND flash memory microchips (four bits of information in one cell). The PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface (NVMe specification) is used for data exchange.

Until now, 2GB and 250GB versions have been available in the Crucial P500 family. Now announced modifications that can store 1 and 2 TB of information.

Both novelties provide sequential data read speeds up to 2400 MB / s. Sequential write speeds are up to 1800 MB/s for the 1 TB model and 1900 MB/s for the 2 TB variant.

The devices have dimensions of 22 Γ— 80 mm. The manufacturer provides a five-year warranty, as well as the possibility of a refund within 45 days from the date of purchase.

The 2TB Crucial P1 drive will be available for $105, while the 2TB version will cost $225.
