OWC introduced the Mercury Elite Pro Dual with 3-Port Hub external storage that can be used with computers running Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Linux, and Chrome OS operating systems.

The device allows the installation of two drives size 3,5 or 2,5 inches. These can be traditional hard drives or solid state solutions with SATA 3.0 interface.

The novelty is built using controllers Asmedia ASM-1352R and Genesys Logic GL-3590. Formation of arrays RAID 0, RAID 1 and JBOD is possible.

To connect to a computer, a USB Type-C interface with a bandwidth of up to 10 Gb / s is used. In addition, as the name suggests, a three-port USB hub is provided: an additional USB Type-C connector and two USB Type-A connectors. Thus, portable drives and other peripherals can be connected to the storage.
