At the same time, a self-propelled shuttle accompanies a car with a driver on the way to the patients and back.

Autonomous vehicle operator Beep CEO Joe Moye explained that the escort vehicles are provided by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority to "ensure that other vehicles or pedestrians do not potentially interfere with the path of delivery of samples and materials for COVID-19 tests."

According to Moye, the use of self-propelled shuttles eliminates the risk of coronavirus infection that exists when transporting samples for COVID-19 by people, and there is also no need to involve clinic specialists in transporting this cargo.
