EK Water Blocks continues to expand its range of full coverage waterblocks for graphics cards. This time, the Slovenian manufacturer introduced the EK-Vector Trio series of water blocks, which are designed for MSI GeForce RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti graphics accelerators of the Gaming Trio and Gaming X Trio series.
One of the new waterblocks is designed specifically for GeForce RTX 2080 graphics cards of the corresponding series, while the other is ideal for GeForce RTX 2080 Ti accelerators. In both cases, the base of the water block is made of nickel-plated copper. For the model for the RTX 2080 video card, it consists of two parts, one of which cools the GPU and memory chips, and the other the power subsystem. The model for the RTX 2080 Ti has a one-piece base and also removes heat from three key areas of the graphics card.
The top of each of the EK-Vector Trio waterblocks is available in two versions. It can be made of transparent acrylic or black plastic (polyformaldehyde). In both cases, there is a customizable RGB backlight, only in the first it illuminates the entire water block, and in the second - only the logo on the end. The backlight is compatible with all popular control technologies from motherboard manufacturers, including MSI's proprietary Mystic Light Sync.
In addition to the new water blocks, EK Water Blocks offers rear reinforcement plates, as EK-Vector Trio water blocks are not compatible with standard plates from these video cards. The cost of such a plate is 40 euros for the black version and 48 euros for the nickel-plated version.
The EK-Vector Trio water blocks themselves will go on sale a little later this week, on April 12th. The cost of new products in the EK Water Blocks branded online store will be 150 euros for the version with a black top and 155 euros for the version with a transparent lid.
