Volkswagen Group has introduced a new car with an all-electric power plant: it became a full-size crossover ID. Roomz.
The electric car, like all models of the ID family line, is built on the MEB modular platform. Electric motors are installed on the front and rear axles, due to which the Electric 4MOTION all-wheel drive system is implemented.
The total power of the power plant is 306 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 6,6 seconds and top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h.
Power is provided by a battery pack with a capacity of 82 kWh. It is claimed that on one charge the car can cover a distance of up to 450 km. It takes about half an hour to replenish the energy reserve by 80%.
The concept car is said to set cutting-edge standards in terms of versatility and interior transformation. The body structure provides for sliding front and rear doors.
The model offers completely new seating configurations, high-quality materials and adjustable lighting.
ID. Roomzz is devoid of the traditional dashboard - it is replaced by digital displays. A Level XNUMX autopilot system has been implemented, which allows the crossover to move independently in most situations.
ID. Roomzz showcases some of the features of the upcoming full-size electric SUV. The laconic appearance of the concept car emphasizes the functionality of the model, and the interaction of the user with the car occurs in a natural and intuitive way, βsays Klaus Bischoff, Chief Design Officer of the Volkswagen brand.
Serial electric car based on ID. Roomzz will be released in 2021.
