My name is Mikhail and I am the co-author of the podcast “To Infinity and Beyond”. I’m also an IT-man, who went from a C++ programmer to a portfolio manager for IT projects, and I also visited

• IT director in state
• project manager for the creation of supercomputers
• was a teacher at the institute (taught the subject “Theory of Relational Database Design”)

Sometimes I get asked the question “Well, why do you need a podcast? Why are you going to the trouble of posting your podcast on Yandex Music; why do you need Youtube channel; page on Telegram channel (+ chat-flood); separate website for podcast, this is work that doesn’t bring money!!!” and I answer:

"That was!". This answer is a pure lie, because the truth is that I know exactly why I’m doing this and I do it simply because I’m interested.

I'm interested in discussing various IT-related topics with my friend. We sit down and start talking, we talk as if we had met somewhere at a party for a cup of tea~~ and more~~. We discuss:

• the Internet and the phenomena of our lives that it destroyed
• artificial intelligence and the consequences of its implementation
• conflicts between software development participants

Yes, we are two IT people and we are more interested in IT topics, and, for example, we would rather discuss the huge leak of personal data in Bulgaria or Let's ask a couple of questions to Andrey Sebrant (director of services marketing at Yandex) than news fashion show in Paris. However, we discuss all sorts of different things, for example:

• floating nuclear power plants
• space exploration
• what would we do if we didn't have to make money?
• и much, much more (and on Yandex Music Same)

Yes, of course, we have microphones; we have to avoid offensive language; we have to remember the feelings of believers that very different people are listening to us; sometimes we even think about the topic of the issue in advance. But each entry is impromptu, because I never know what Sergei will say, and he, in turn, does not know what news I have prepared for him.

At the request of our listeners, we can discuss what interests them. For example, one of our listeners was able to convince us that we want discuss ballet and we did it! And the listener received our souvenir T-shirt as a gift.

In short, it’s fun, I like it and, to be completely honest, it’s my hobby!

PS But all this, however, does not bring money...
