- Reworked animation system for creatures, heroes and spells in combat
- Implemented support for cyclic animation of surfaces, objects on the map and creatures.
- A completely new internal rendering engine has been developed that fixes a lot of rendering problems, and is also much faster than the old one.
- Added missing animations for spells like Lightning Bolt, Armageddon, Death Wave and fixed a lot of old spells
- Various performance optimizations and normal support for full screen mode and resolution selection.
- Added adequate support for the configuration file and settings.
- Fixed a huge number of logic issues in combat, on the map, AI and pathfinding.
- Improved support for music and sounds, as well as an updated MIDI converter.
- Added video support.
- Fixed more than 250 bugs compared to version 0.7 (or more than 50 compared to version 0.8).
The developers note that the team lacks the designers that the project needs in order to fix the flaws in the animation of the original graphics. It is also welcome to brainstorm plans for an expansion that the developers will move on to after they can fully recreate the original game.
