For the first time in Russia: Volvo launches a long-term car rental service

Volvo, according to the Vedomosti newspaper, will be the first in Russia to offer a long-term car rental service to private individuals.

In February of this year, Volvo Car Russia introduced the Volvo Car Rent program for entrepreneurs and business owners in our country. It provides for the lease of any Volvo model for a period of 12 to 60 months. The client makes a monthly payment, which is fixed for the entire period. At the end of the rental period, you can either extend the contract or return the car to the lessor.

It is important to note that the Volvo Car Rent program involves a full range of car maintenance services. So, in addition to the actual lease, the client receives full service and related services. It includes insurance, registration with the traffic police, maintenance and repair work, tire services and tire storage, 24/7 roadside assistance, control and processing of traffic fines, as well as customer support.

Volvo is now reportedly preparing a similar offer for private individuals. The new service will start operating in June – citizens aged 25 and older will be able to use it, and driving experience does not matter.

The client will have to fill out a questionnaire on a special website and attach a package of documents, the verification of which will take several days. The lease term will be one year; funds will be debited from the specified bank card monthly.

Initially, Volvo intends to provide 50 XC60 crossovers for long-term lease. The subscription cost will be 59 rubles per month, or 500 rubles per year.

The service will be provided in Moscow. As with the Volvo Car Rent program, customers will not have to pay for insurance and maintenance.
