For example, an 4GB (2133Γ—8GB) dual-channel DDR2-4 kit can be purchased on Newegg for just $43. In turn, a set of 16 GB (2 Γ— 8 GB) with a frequency of 2666 MHz will cost $75. More advanced 16 GB kits with a frequency of 3200 MHz and higher, equipped with heatsinks, can now be purchased for $100, and similar models with RGB lighting also start at $120.

So, the most affordable 32 GB set of two modules with a volume of 16 GB each, with a frequency of 2666 MHz, is now estimated at $135. A more advanced 3000MHz set with backlit heatsinks costs $175. And last December for such kits they asked for $200 and $250, respectively.

Price cuts for DDR4 kits are observed not only in the US, but also in European retail. In Europe, 16 GB dual-channel kits start at 80 euros, while double-sized kits are sold at prices starting at 160 euros. In Russia, a two-channel kit for 8 GB can be found at a price of 3100 rubles, for 16 GB - from 5600 rubles, and for 32 GB - from 12 rubles.
