The MSCHF team started working on the project before the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the head of the commercial department Daniel Greenberg (Daniel Greenberg), they are interested to know how the characters of the series would behave if they had access to the corporate messenger Slack. The Office series ended in 2013, when the Slack messenger just launched in test mode. So the audience did not manage to see him in the episodes.
