Meeting for Java developers: we talk about the fight against technical debt and the analysis of the response time of Java services

DINS IT EVENING, an open platform that brings together technical experts in the areas of Java, DevOps, QA and JS, will hold a meeting for Java developers on September 18 at 19:30 at Staro-Petergofsky Prospekt, 19 (St. Petersburg). The meeting will feature two presentations:

“Starships on the internal combustion engine. Survive the battle with technical debt” (Denis Repp, Wrike)

— What if the warp drive works on the AI-95?
What if the only heater in the cabin is a toaster?
— What if the medbay is attached to the ship's hull with one nut and three nails?
- Captain, pass the key to 16 or let's finally deal with technical debt!
During the presentation, Denis offers to figure out how to organize the process of working with technical debt in critical parts of the product, how to make the process predictable and transparent, what errors you have to face and how to get around them.

"Distributed Tracing: Analyzing the Response Time of Java Services" (Andrey Markelov, Infobip)

In modern systems, dozens of unique services can participate in order to process a client request. Clients, as a rule, are not interested in all this, but they are interested in response time and throughput. In the report, Andrey will show how to organize the analysis of response time using specific examples. The report will be useful for practicing engineers of any level.

During the break, we will chat with the speakers and eat pizza. After the presentations, we will organize a short tour of the office for those who want to get to know DINS better.
The event will last until 21.40. Pre-registration is required.
