Introductory video of the cooperative shooter Outriders, which will be released at the end of the year on PS5 and Xbox Series X

Publisher Square Enix announced a broadcast scheduled for February 13 with the announcement of the shooter Outriders. The project is being carried out by the Polish studio People Can Fly, which previously created Gears of War: Judgment, Bulletstorm and Painkiller, as well as the Square Enix External Studios team that worked on Sleeping Dogs and Just Cause. In the meantime, the public is invited to watch the introductory video from this game.

Outriders was announced at E3 2019. The project is announced as a large-scale shooter with RPG elements, designed to be played alone or in co-op with one or two partners. Its action takes place in the dark fantasy world of the planet Enoch, where humanity has arrived.

While people are bleeding in the trenches of Inok, the player in the person of the Pathfinder will begin his journey across the most dangerous planet. A fascinating story is promised in a bright and unusual world, which will unfold when the heroes leave the slums of the First City and go in search of the source of a mysterious signal through forests, mountains and deserts. “Intense firefights, incredible hero powers, a whole arsenal of ever-improving weapons and equipment... All this and much more awaits in the Outriders game,” the description promises.

However, the full premiere, as already mentioned, will take place as part of the broadcast, which will take place on February 13 at 23:00 Moscow time on Twitch. It will feature creative director Bartosz Kmita, lead writer Joshua Rubin and host Malik Forte.

“I’m incredibly excited to finally show off what we’ve been working on for the last four years,” Bartosz Kmita said in a press release. — This is our first game after leaving Epic Games. From the idea that most excited us, Outriders has grown into the most ambitious project in People Can Fly's history."

It is curious that Outriders has been postponed until the end of 2020 (the developers previously promised a launch in the summer) - apparently, the team needs time for additional polishing. But the ambitious shooter will now appear not only on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, but will also appear on the next generation consoles - PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
