The choice of a true warrior: a new trailer for the Kingdoms of Amalur remaster dedicated to the path of power

THQ Nordic Publishing published new trailer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, a re-release of the 2012 action role-playing game. A video from the "Choose Your Destiny" series is dedicated to the path of power - the second of the three branches of the character development tree.

The path of Might is designed for players who prefer to fight in close combat and block attacks rather than dodge them. In situations where the enemy is far away, he can be pulled towards you with a harpoon. The hero will be able to use one and a half (longsword) and two-handed (greatsword) swords, as well as a large hammer. This direction allows you to put on the most durable armor and deal increased damage.

At the end of August, a trailer was presented, telling about the path of cunning (Finesse). Users who choose it will be able to move stealthily and deliver unexpected critical hits with daggers, blades, and bows. In addition, you can use traps, bombs and poisons.

The third path - sorcery - allows you to fight with staves, throwing weapons and sceptres, as well as spells of fire, lightning and ice. In addition, in the arsenal of magicians there are spells for healing, protection and summoning creatures.

In 2021, the game will receive a major addition, Fatesworn, the details of which will appear later.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is being worked on by German studio Kaiko, who created the remasters Darksiders, Darksiders 2 ΠΈ Red Faction: Guerrilla. The updated version of the role-playing game will feature not only improved graphics, but also gameplay changes. Re-Reckoning will include all released DLC and brand new content.

The remaster is available for pre-order in three editions: the standard edition ($40), the special Fate Edition ($55) and the physical collector's edition ($110). Buyers of the second will receive not only a copy of the game, but also Fatesworn add-ons immediately after its release. The collectible contains a figurine of the elf Alyn Shir (Alyn Shir), a key chain, five postcards and a soundtrack CD.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning was developed with input from writer Robert Salvatore, Spawn writer Todd McFarlane, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion lead designer Ken Rolston. The game was released in 2012 on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and was warmly received by the press, but sales were too low to turn the project into a series. Moreover, the proceeds were not even enough to pay off a loan to the state of Rhode Island, which is why 38 Studios went bankrupt shortly after the premiere.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning will be released on September 8 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will include text translation into Russian (voice only in English, German and French).
