The graphics editor came out with a range of new fill layer types, including a truly versatile SeExpr script-based fill layer type, new options for Krita brushes such as gradient map mode for brushes, brightness and gradient modes for brush textures, support for dynamic use of colors in gradients , animation export to webm, new scripting features - and of course, hundreds of bug fixes that make this version of Krita better than ever.

Fill layers

  • multithreading for fill layers

  • pattern fill transformations

  • Screentone option for the fill layer, designed to fill the entire screen with dots, squares, lines, waves, etc.

  • Multigrid fill layer, generates Penrose tilings as well as quasi-crystalline structures

  • expression language integration SeExpr Disney Animation

Brushes

  • top stroke: using a combination of the new brightness parameter with the blending parameter

  • bottom stroke: use the texture strength option to blend brush tips and textures with a gradient overlay

  • diagonal lines in MyPaint Color Selector (Shift + M)

  • support for dynamic use of currently selected colors in gradients
