Cryptsetup 2.3 released with support for BitLocker encrypted partitions

Took place release of a set of utilities Crypt setup 2.3, intended for setting up encryption of disk partitions in Linux using the dm-crypt module. Supports dm-crypt, LUKS, LUKS2, loop-AES and TrueCrypt partitions with VeraCrypt extensions. It also includes veritysetup and integritysetup utilities for configuring data integrity controls based on the dm-verity and dm-integrity modules.

Key improvement the new release now supports the BITLK format, used to encrypt partitions in Windows OS when using the BitLocker. Cryptsetup can now be used to access such encrypted devices in Linux in read-write mode. The implementation of BITLK support is built from scratch based on available specifications.
