Release Devuan 3 Beowulf

On June 1st, Devuan 3 Beowulf was released, which corresponds to Debian 10 Buster.

Devuan is a fork Debian GNU/Linux without systemd, which "gives the user control over the system by avoiding unnecessary complexity and providing freedom of choice of init system."

  • Based on Debian Buster (10.4) and the kernel Linux 4.19.
  • Added support for ppc64el (i386, amd64, armel, armhf, arm64 are also supported)
  • runit can be used instead of /sbin/init
  • openrc can be used in place of the System-V style sysv-rc runlevel mechanism
  • eudev and elogind moved to separate daemons
  • New wallpapers and skins for the bootloader, display manager and desktop.

Preparations have also begun for the next release of Devuan 4.0 Chimaera, the repositories of the future version are already open.
