Release Devuan 3 Beowulf

On June 1, Devuan 3 Beowulf was released, which corresponds to Debian 10 Buster.

Devuan is a non-systemd fork of Debian GNU/Linux that "gives the user control of the system by avoiding unnecessary complexity and allowing freedom of choice of init system".

Main Features:

  • Based on Debian Buster (10.4) and Linux 4.19 kernel.
  • Added support for ppc64el (i386, amd64, armel, armhf, arm64 are also supported)
  • runit can be used instead of /sbin/init
  • openrc can be used in place of the System-V style sysv-rc runlevel mechanism
  • eudev and elogind moved to separate daemons
  • New wallpapers and skins for the bootloader, display manager and desktop.

Preparations have also begun for the next release of Devuan 4.0 Chimaera, the repositories of the future version are already open.
