Clonezilla Live 2.6.3 distribution release

Available Linux distribution release Clonezilla Live 2.6.3, designed for fast disk cloning (only used blocks are copied). The tasks performed by the distribution are similar to the proprietary Norton Ghost product. Size iso image distribution kit - 265 MB (i686, amd64).

The distribution is based on Debian GNU/Linux and uses the code of such projects as DRBL, Partition Image, ntfsclone, partclone, udpcast in its work. Boot from CD/DVD, USB Flash and network (PXE) is possible. LVM2 and FS ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, xfs, jfs, FAT, NTFS, HFS+ (macOS), UFS, minix and VMFS (VMWare ESX) are supported. There is a mode of mass cloning over the network, including with the transmission of traffic in multicast mode, which allows you to simultaneously clone the source disk to a large number of client machines. It is possible both to clone from one disk to another, and to create backup copies by saving a disk image to a file. Cloning at the level of entire disks or individual partitions is possible.

The new version is synchronized with the Debian Sid package base as of September 3rd. The Linux kernel has been updated to release 5.2. (was 4.19), Partclone package up to version 0.3.13+git0819-2f1830e-drbl1, live-tools up to version 20190627, partclone-utils up to August 29 repository state. The zfs-fuse module, which has not been updated for a very long time, has been removed from the distribution. To support ZFS mounting, you can use openzfs, which is present in alternative builds Clonezilla Live based on Ubuntu. Updated the mechanism for generating a new machine ID for GNU/Linux recovery.
