Release of the Deepin 15.11 distribution kit, developing its own graphical environment

Submitted by distribution release Download Deepin 15.11, based on the Debian package base but developing its own Deepin Desktop Environment and about 30 custom applications, including DMusic music player, DMovie video player, DTalk messaging system, Deepin Software Center installer and installation center. The project was founded by a group of developers from China, but has been transformed into an international project. The distribution kit supports the Russian language. Desktop components and applications are being developed using C/C++ languages ​​(Qt5) and Go. The key feature of the Deepin desktop is the panel, which supports multiple modes of operation. Efficient mode is somewhat reminiscent of Unity, mixing indicators of running programs, favorite applications and control applets (volume / brightness settings, connected drives, clock, network status, etc.). Main innovations:

• Added the Could Sync feature, which allows you to synchronize the settings of different distribution instances associated with the same user ID. Synchronization includes settings for network, sound, mouse, power management, desktop, skin, panel, and more. The user can control the inclusion of certain sets of settings;
• Deepin File Manager has a built-in interface for burning optical discs (CD / DVD);
• Added support for adding subtitle files via Drag & drop interface to Deepin Movie video player;
