Release of distribution kit Elbrus 6.0

MCST company presented distribution release Elbrus Linux 6.0, built using Debian GNU/Linux developments and the LFS project. Elbrus Linux is not a rebuild, but an independent distribution developed by the developers of the Elbrus architecture. Systems with Elbrus processors (Elbrus-16C, Elbrus-12C, Elbrus-2C3, Elbrus-8SV, Elbrus-8C, Elbrus-1C+, Elbrus-1SK and Elbrus-4C), SPARC V9 (R2000, R2000+, R1000) and x86_64. Assemblies for Elbrus processors are supplied on a commercial basis, and the edition for x86_64 systems declared as distributed freely and free of charge (iso images, 4 and 3 GB in size).

Applications are compiled using a proprietary compiler LCC 1.25, compatible with GCC. LCC 1.25 provides experimental support for the C++20 standard and improves compatibility with GCC. Also available for developers are LLVM 9.0.1, Git 2.28.0, CMake 3.15.4, Meson 0.51.1, OpenJDK 1.8.0, Perl 5.30.0, PHP 7.4.7, Python 3.7.4,
Ruby 2.7.0. LXC 2.0.8 is offered for container isolation, and a binary translator is used to run x86 programs on Elbrus systems rtc.

The Linux kernel has been updated to version 5.4. Updated graphics stack (X.Org 1.20.7, Mesa 19.3.5, libdrm 2.4.100, PulseAudio 13, Qt 5.12.6) and system components (glibc 2.29, sysvinit 2.88 (systemd not used)). The desktop is based on the Xfce 4.14 graphical environment. For office work, LibreOffice 6.3, AbiWord 3.0.2 and Gnumeric 1.12.46 are offered. Also included are Blender 2.80, GIMP 2.10.18, Inkscape 0.92.4, MPD 0.17.6, Mplayer 1.3.0, OBS Studio 20.1, SMplayer 15.11.0, VLC 3.0.8. Total number of packages brought up to 2100 in the distribution, of which 200 were added in the new release.
