EndeavorOS distribution release 22.9

EndeavourOS 22.9 is now available. It replaces the Antergos distribution, which was discontinued in May 2019 due to the remaining maintainers' lack of time to maintain the project. The installation image size is 1.9 GB (x86_64, with a separate ARM build being developed). The new release includes updated package versions, including a kernel. Linux 5.19.7, Calamares 3.2.61 installer, Firefox 104.0.2, Mesa 22.1.7, Xorg-Server 21.1.4, nvidia-dkms 515.65.01, GRUB 2.06.

Endeavour OS allows users to install Arch without any complications. Linux with the required desktop as it is designed, with its standard configuration offered by the developers of the chosen desktop, without any additional preinstalled programs. The distribution offers a simple installer for installing the basic Arch environment. Linux With the Xfce desktop by default and the option to install one of the standard desktops from the repository, including Mate, LXQt, Cinnamon, KDE Plasma, GNOME, and Budgie, as well as the tiled window managers i3, BSPWM, and Sway. Work is underway to add support for the Qtile and Openbox window managers, as well as the UKUI, LXDE, and Deepin desktops. One of the project's developers is developing their own window manager, Worm.
