Release of the NomadBSD 1.3.2 distribution

Available release of the live distribution NomadBSD 1.3.2, which is a FreeBSD edition adapted for use as a portable desktop bootable from a USB drive. The graphical environment is based on a window manager open box. Used to mount drives DSBMD (mounting CD9660, FAT, HFS+, NTFS, Ext2/3/4 is supported), and to configure a wireless network - wifimgr. The size boot image 2.6 GB (x86_64).

In the new release:

  • Synchronized with FreeBSD 12.1 branch (p6);
  • A patch to the acpi_video module has been moved from the 12-STABLE branch and a brightness_listener handler has been added for the buttons to change the screen brightness to work correctly;
  • Added rtsx-kmod driver for Realtek card readers;
  • Changed the partition layout when installing on a disk using ZFS (added support for backing up the boot environment using the beactl utility);
  • Added load_iichid setting to load experimental sysutils/iichid driver when I2C HID is detected;
  • Added utility intel backlight to control background lighting for systems with Intel GPUs;
  • Added unionfs_maxfiles variable to rc.conf to control the limit on the number of open files in unionfs;
  • Viewnior is used instead of the mirage image viewer;
  • Added volume control utility volumecontrol;
  • Provided assembly of the bwn module with the BWN_GPL_PHY option to support N-PHY required for devices with BCM43224 and BCM43225 chips;
  • The x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard and x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse drivers have been replaced with x11-drivers/xf86-input-libinput.
