Siduction 2021.2 distribution release

The release of the Siduction 2021.2 project has been created, developing a desktop-oriented Linux distribution built on the Debian Sid (unstable) package base. It is noted that the preparation of the new release began about a year ago, but in April 2020, the key developer of the Alf Gaida project stopped communicating, about whom nothing has been heard since and other developers have not been able to find out what happened. However, the team managed to gather strength and continue development with the remaining forces.

Siduction is a fork of Aptosid that split off in July 2011. The key difference from Aptosid is the use of a newer version of KDE from the experimental Qt-KDE repository as a user environment, as well as the formation of distribution builds based on the latest versions of Xfce, LXDE, Cinnamon and LXQt (builds based on GNOME and MATE are skipped due to the lack of maintainers ), as well as a minimalist X.Org build based on the Fluxbox window manager and a "noX" build, supplied without a graphical environment for users who wish to build their own system.

The new release updates desktop versions of KDE Plasma 5.20.5 (additionally built with Plasma 5.22.4), LXQt 0.16.0, Cinnamon 4.8.6.2, Xfce 4.16 and Lxde 11. The Linux kernel is updated to version 5.13.6, and the system Systemd manager up to 247.3-6. The package base is synchronized with the Debian Unstable repository as of July 28. In the Xorg and noX builds, as well as in the second build with Plasma 5.22.4, by default the iwd daemon is used to connect to a wireless network instead of wpa_supplicant (in other builds iwd is provided as an option).
