SystemRescue 8.0.0, a specialized Live distribution based on Arch, is now available. Linux, designed for system recovery after a crash. It uses Xfce as the graphical environment. The ISO image size is 708 MB (amd64, i686).
Among the functional changes in the new version, the update of the Xfce desktop to the 4.16 branch is mentioned, the kernel delivery Linux 5.10 and the inclusion of the paperkey package, designed for printing private keys. The exfat-utils package has been replaced with a new set of exfatprogs utilities, created after the exFAT driver was adopted into the kernel. LinuxUpdated versions of parted 3.4, gparted 1.2.0, btrfs-progs 5.10.1, xfsprogs 5.10.0, e2fsprogs 1.46.2, nwipe 0.30, dislocker 0.7.3, fsarchiver 0.8.6, and Python 3.9.2.
