SystemRescue 9.06 distribution release

The release of SystemRescue 9.06 is now available, a dedicated Arch Linux-based live distribution designed for system disaster recovery. Xfce is used as the graphical environment. The size of the iso image is 748 MB (amd64, i686).

Changes in the new version:

  • The boot image includes the MemTest86+ 6.00 RAM testing program, which supports UEFI systems and is called from the GRUB bootloader menu.
  • A new sysrescueusbwriter application has been added to create USB drives with a writable FAT partition.
  • Added pacman-faketime command to deal with packages with expired digital signatures.
  • Added "bash_history" and "hosts" options to the sysconfig configuration file.
  • The timeout for waiting for the start of automatic loading has been reduced from 90 to 30 seconds.
  • The bootloader provides the ability to use the console through the serial port (ttyS0,115200n8).
  • ISO builds have built-in checksums created with isomd5sum.
  • Added new inxi and libfaketime packages.
