GNOME Commander 1.12 release

GNOME Commander 1.12.0, a two-pane file manager optimized for use in the GNOME user environment, has been released. GNOME Commander introduces features such as tabs, command line access, bookmarks, changeable color schemes, directory skipping mode when selecting files, access to external data via FTP and SAMBA, expandable context menus, automatic mounting of external drives, access to navigation history, support plug-ins, built-in text and image viewer, search functions, renaming by mask and directory comparison.

GNOME Commander 1.12 release

The new version includes GIO as a dependency, providing a single VFS API to abstract access to local and remote file systems. The migration process from GnomeVFS to GIO has begun. Including GIO is already used instead of GnomeVFS to open files in the default application and to filter the list of files.
