The fheroes2 1.1.15 project is now available, which recreates the Heroes of Might and Magic II game engine from scratch. The project code is written in C++ and is distributed under the GPLv2 license. To run the game, you need files with game resources, which can be obtained from the original Heroes of Might and Magic II. The project includes a script for automatically downloading and extracting resources from the demo version of the game, which are enough for full operation.
Major changes:
- The engine comes with new maps from enthusiasts, created on the new editor: "Ravenhold", "Apocalypse", "Final Invasion", as well as updated versions of familiar maps - "Eruption" and "7 Deserts".

- An "About Map" button has been added to the scenario information window for each map, allowing you to view details about the maps.
- Added new road junction sprites to naturally display certain junctions on the map.

- Implemented the ability to select artifacts for "random artifact" objects.

- Fixed some bugs in the random map generator.
- The conditions for placing objects in the editor have been expanded, allowing you to create even more unique landscapes.
- The process of switching between languages within the engine has been accelerated.

- A new design for the Battle mode window has been implemented, and support for the "evil" theme has been added for this window.

- The player's choice of "Order of Action" in battle can be displayed below the battle window.

- Added full MIDI support for PS Vita.
- Over 40 bug reports and suggestions for improving the project have been closed.
