Release of GhostBSD 22.06.15

The release of GhostBSD 22.06.15, a desktop distribution based on FreeBSD 13.1-STABLE and offering a MATE user environment, has been published. By default, GhostBSD uses the ZFS file system. Both Live mode and installation to a hard drive are supported (using its own ginstall installer written in Python). Boot images are generated for the x86_64 architecture (2.7 GB).

The new version automates the installation of the correct NVIDIA driver when booting in Live mode. The Update Station update installation utility provides for reinstallation of the package in case the update attempt fails. The BWN_GPL_PHY setting is enabled in the GENERIC kernel to build drivers containing GPLv2 licensed code. Provided detection of most devices based on Broadcom chips, including iMac. The base system has been upgraded to the FreeBSD 13.1-STABLE branch as of May 31st.
