A release of the fheroes2 0.9.3 project is available, attempting to recreate the Heroes of Might and Magic II game. The project code is written in C++ and distributed under the GPLv2 license. To run the game, game resource files are required, which can be obtained, for example, from the demo version of Heroes of Might and Magic II.
Major changes:
- Implemented support for Polish, French, German and Russian languages.
- In the meeting window of two heroes, the images of the arrows are transformed into full-fledged buttons for a quick transfer of the army and artifacts.
- On the battlefield, the Lich attack area is highlighted.
- Added the original "The Succession Wars" campaign for the final testing of bonuses and rewards that roll over between missions.
- Fixed the logic of drawing the hero's shadow to eliminate multiple drawing of the shadows of objects on the map.
- Improved code quality and fixed more than 80 bugs.
