KDE Applications Release 19.08

Available release of the KDE Applications 19.08 suite, including compilation custom applications adapted to work with KDE Frameworks 5. Information about the availability of live builds with the new release can be found at this page.

  • The Dolphin file manager implements and enables by default the ability to open a new tab in an existing file manager window (instead of opening a new window with a separate instance of Dolphin) when trying to open a directory from another application.   • The Konsole terminal emulator has expanded the window tiling capabilities - the main window can now be divided into parts in an arbitrary form, both vertically and horizontally.   • In the Spectacle screenshot utility, when taking a snapshot with a delay in the header and button on the task manager panel, an indication of the time remaining until the snapshot is taken is provided.   • The Kdenlive video editor has new control sequences called with the keyboard and mouse. For example,
