After a year and a half of development
In the new release:
- The packages have been synced with the Debian Testing repository as of June 24th.
- Live system mount point changed from /lib/live/mount/medium to /run/live/medium.
- All utilities of the distribution, including grml2usb, grml-paste and grml-x, are freed from binding to Python2 and ported to Python3.
- Instead of a custom build of the Linux kernel, the standard linux-image package from Debian has been delivered (release 5.6 is involved).
- Added support for Cloud-init (passing network settings and configuring SSH when booting in cloud systems with the βservices=cloud-initβ option).
- Added support for qemu-guest-agent to manage when running Grml in guests.
- Added display of current network connection parameters (cloud-init, hostname, IP, zeroconf/avahi) to grml-quickconfig.
- Includes 30 new packs, including
avahi-utils, bind9-dnsutils, borgbackup, fuse3, iperf3, qemu-system-gui, tmate, vim-gtk3, wireguard and zstd.
