- Changes prepared by the developers of the Avrora mobile operating system (a fork of the Sailfish OS developed by the Open Mobile Platform company):
- Provided the ability to develop components and applications in the Rust language.
- Added experimental support for 64-bit architecture.
- The interface for receiving incoming calls has been redesigned. You can use a horizontal swipe gesture to receive a call, and swipe up to reject a call.
- Implemented the ability to use the device by multiple users. You can add up to 6 additional users on the same device to share the phone.
- Added the ability to create temporary guest users without a separate account and with limited rights.
- Improved screen lock implementation. All new devices (Xperia X/XA2/10) have home directory encryption enabled by default. Provided setting of the access code at the first start of the device. Entering a passcode (if enabled) is now required after booting (fingerprint verification is not enough).
- The browser engine in Sailfish Browser has been updated to Mozilla Gecko 52.
- Through the Gecko Media Plugin, the browser provides hardware-accelerated video decoding.
- The mode of viewing HTML letters in the mail client has been transferred from Qt WebKit to the use of the Mozilla Gecko engine.

- Improved performance of spreadsheet and presentation viewers. Opening large Excel spreadsheets is now 4x faster. Improved responsiveness when pinching to zoom.
- Added support for setting up Active Sync accounts over MDM.
- Changed notification of receiving SMS.
- Updated file manager. In the storage settings, you can now rename files and directories.
- Changed the design of the backup settings. The event list shows the progress of the backup.
- Added support for highlighting events for certain days of the week in the calendar-scheduler, new intervals for reminding about events have been added, CalDAV has implemented support for processing invitations on the server side.
- In the mail client, buttons for Reply, Reply to All, Delete, and Forward have been added to the message view screen panel. All messages are now grouped by the date they were received.
- Hourly weather forecast has been added to the Event Viewer interface. The Foreca API is used to get the weather forecast.
- Improved icons on the home screen. Added a button to the end of the top menu in multi-user configurations to switch the user.
- All SMS messages are now grouped by the date they were received. Added fast scroll mode to jump to the last post in a discussion.
- Added the ability to fast forward or rewind by 10 seconds in the video player.
- A new Settings>Users menu has been added, through which the device owner can create, delete, change and switch additional users or enable a guest user.
- Added more stringent checks for potential conflicts with the platform update being downloaded. Packages that could cause conflicts or fail if replaced are now listed as potentially problematic and are recommended to be removed before continuing with the update installation.
- Problems with copying large files (more than 300MB) from a PC to a device's SD card via the MTP protocol, as well as problems with transferring files to an SD card via MTP from Linux-based devices, have been resolved.
