nginx 1.19.10 release

The release of the main branch of nginx 1.19.10 has been formed, within which the development of new features continues (only changes related to the elimination of serious errors and vulnerabilities are made in the parallel supported stable branch 1.18).

Major changes:

  • The default value of the "keepalive_requests" parameter, which determines the maximum number of requests that can be sent through one keep-alive connection, has been increased from 100 to 1000.
  • A new "keepalive_time" directive has been added, which limits the total lifetime of each keep-alive connection, after which the connection will be closed (not to be confused with keepalive_timeout, which determines the inactivity time after which the keep-alive connection is closed).
  • Added the $connection_time variable, through which you can get information about the duration of the connection in seconds with millisecond precision.
  • A workaround has been added to address the "gzip filter failed to use preallocated memory" warnings in the log when using the zlib-ng library.
