The user environment consists of separately shipped components with the Budgie Desktop implementation, the Budgie Desktop View icon set, the Budgie Control Center system configuration interface (a fork of GNOME Control Center), and the Budgie Screensaver (a fork of gnome-screensaver). Budgie uses the Budgie Window Manager (BWM) to manage windows, which is an extension of the core Mutter plugin.
