qBittorrent 4.2.5 release

Available torrent client release qBittorrent 4.2.5, written using the Qt toolkit and developed as an open alternative to µTorrent, close to it in terms of interface and functionality. qBittorrent features include: integrated search engine, RSS subscription option, support for many BEP extensions, web-based remote control, order-by-order sequential download mode, advanced settings for torrents, peers and trackers, bandwidth scheduler and IP filter, interface for creating torrents, support for UPnP and NAT-PMP.

The new version fixed a bug that caused a crash when deleting torrents when the limits were reached. Also, problems with incorrect registration of the resource type were solved. The Web client has extended the RSS-related API to include the ability to send user-defined HTTP headers.

Separately, the developers warn about the appearance of in the Microsoft Store catalog of a paid Windows application "qBittorrent", which has nothing to do with the main project. The specified Windows assembly was produced by an outsider who did not receive permission to use the qBittorrent name and logo, so no one can vouch for the absence of malicious changes in the assembly. The same author prepared unofficial paid builds of free projects Password Safe, Audacity и smplayer.
